2023 French Heritage Festival Program of Events
Saturday, June 10

9 am - 5pm Welcome Center, pick up Festival program + map
     Inquire about NPS Site Tours of JB Valle and Green Tree Tavern

9:30 am at the GUIBOURD HOUSE GARDEN, 1 North 4th Street
     MARIE ANTOINETTE & FRENCH STORYTELLING
     Have tea and cake with the Queen, prior to Opening Ceremonies

10 am - 2 pm Private Garden Stroll - garden locations on map
     Take in the beauty of five private gardens in the festival area.

10:30 am  FESTIVAL OPENING CEREMONIES at the back steps of
     the Catholic Church; immediately followed by Grand Promenade

11 am - 4 pm   A "Street Fete" at the Jacques Guibourd House Site
     Mountain Dulcimer by Belinda Emily Link from 11:30 am -3:30 pm
     Family Activities, Skill Demonstrations:  Lace making, Wool Spinning,
     Wood Working with Draw Knife, Children's Games, Doll Making,
     Make a Potpourri Sachet, Fun with French Phrases.
     Gumbo, Cornbread, and Creme Brulee for sale.

10:30 am - 6 pm  LION'S CLUB PARK     
     Festival Foods - Beignets, Cajun Fish Plate with Fries/Slaw
     Cajun Pork Burgers, hot dogs, chips, popcorn, soda, water
     
11 am - 6 pm  BEER & WINE PAVILLION, GAMES & VENDORS
     Try your hand at the French lawn game of "Petanque"

Traditional FREE Live Music Concerts in Lion's Club Park
11:30 am - 1:30 pm  Dennis Stroughmatt and the Creole Stomp
3:30 pm - 6:30 pm  Dennis Stroughmatt and L'Esprit Creole


11 am - 3 pm MAIN STREET PARK & The Shops of North Main
     Scooter Burgers served 11:00 am until sold out!
     Live music by Ben Peters, guitar and vocals 11 am - 2 pm
     All day - Sidewalk sales, food, art & specials! 

10 am - 4 pm  FELIX VALLE STATE HISTORIC SITE
     Tours, Children's games, demonstrations,  Gift Shop

11 am- 4 pm  CENTRE FOR FRENCH COLONIAL LIFE
     
     Tours, re-enactors, Milice camp, skill demonstrations
     Hands-On History at the LINDEN HOUSE.         

11 am - 4 pm STE. GENEVIEVE MUSEUM LEARNING CENTER
     Local history, artifacts, Missouri Dinosaur and Gift Shop

11 am - 4 pm  J B VALLE/NATIONAL PARK SERVICE SITE     
     FREE Art Gallery, Historic Rose Garden

11 am - 3 pm  STE GENEVIEVE ART CENTER & MUSEUM open
     

11 am - 4 pm  JACQUES GUIBOURD HISTORIC SITE
     Tours of the House, street fair, food & demonstrations

EVENING ACTIVITES
         
5:30 pm - 9 pm  The "Fete du Soir" on North Main Street
     Menu Specials and Beverage Sales by Oliver's Restaurant
     Live Music by Chad Steven Stafford 6 pm - 9 pm
     Shops will be open late - walk around and Shop Small!

Sunday, June 11
7 am - 8:30 am AUDUBON NATURE WALK at the REFUGE
       Meet at Refuge info kiosk at the Levee (37.9918275, -90.0422454)
     Early Birds - Come explore the Ste. Genevieve Levee Wildlife Refuge with us!
     We suggest sturdy shoes, sunscreen, bug spray and binoculars if you wish.
      
 

FRENCH HERITAGE REGION DRIVING TOUR (Missouri and Illinois)
